Bow Spring Centralizers
The purpose of the Bow Spring Centralizer, both welded and non-welded, is to help center the casing in the wellbore, allowing even distribution of the cement around the casing during cementing operations. The degree to which the casing is centered depends on the performance of the centralizer and the spacing between the centralizers installed on the casing OD. Bow Spring Centralizers also help reduce casing drag in the wellbore during running operations and prevent differential stroking of the casing. They increase fluid turbulence at the tool, helping to move filter cake from the wellbore. Both welded and non-welded Bow Spring Centralizers can be run through hole restrictions in the bore hole or smaller casing strings that are cemented in the well, which in turn centers the casing below the restriction.

Welded Centralizers

Welded Bow Spring Centralizers
Welded Bow Spring Centralizers, available in slip-on and hinged, are designed for high restoring force combined with low starting force for centralizing the casing pipe. High performance characteristics are combined with easy field assembly. Bow springs are manufactured of high quality alloy steel, hot bent to shape using dyes and then heat treated under controlled temp and time cycles for consistent spring characteristics to ensure a crack free weld with a minimum amount of distortion and maximum amount of rigidity. Collars are made of widened design for greater frame strength and to prevent bows hitting the casing.

Slip-on centralizers are manufactured with solid end rings that can be easily slipped on the casing OD during installation.

Hinged centralizers are manufactured in segments, which allows the centralizer to be installed easily around the casing OD. Integral hinges are designed to wrap to the inside and made to minimize the amount of disorientation under severe stress. Hinge locking pins are made of high-strength steel for maximum structural strength.

The Double Bow Welded Centralizer is designed to increase contact area for less bow penetration into the formation and helps in complete mud removal while cementing. Because of its high restoring force with very little spring deflection, the Double Bow Centralizer is excellent for deviated and horizontal wellbores.

The Turbo-Flow Centralizers have all the characteristics of a regular centralizer. These are also available either with a left hand fin or a right hand fin. The fins are specially made of heat treated spring steel and designed to increase the turbulence in the casing to allow even distribution of the cement around the casing.

** All Centralizers are manufactured to API specification 10D.
** All Centralizers undergo a special process of rust prevention before painting.
