WPI-1002 is a water soluble, highly concentrated blend of amine based corrosion inhibitors, oxygen scavengers, and a biocide. WPI-1002 is blended to provide maximum long term protection in static packer fluid environments. It has a record of excellent performance in protecting against corrosion due to carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and oxygen in solids-free fresh or brine water packer fluids.
WPI-1002 should be mixed with packer fluid just prior to pumping to prevent premature reaction of the oxygen scavenger with atmospheric oxygen. WPI-1002 is normally added in batch amounts of one gallon to five barrels of packer fluid.
