Heith Higginbotham was awarded The San Antonio Business Journal's inaugural C-Suite Award for Small/Midsize Companies.

The C-Suite Awards recognize C-level executives of all fields who are making a difference in their companies, industries and communities. Higginbotham, who was promoted to Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer at Well Flow International in December 2014, received the award in the category of small or midsize companies that employ up to 499 individuals.

"Heith's leadership has served Well Flow International exceedingly well," said Paul A. Bell, President and CEO of Group 42. "He has transformed the company's finance and accounting structures in a tightly condensed period of time, which resulted in significant gains and improved processes for the organization. Please join me in congratulating Heith on this well-deserved recognition by a highly regarded publication."

The Texas native splits his time between San Antonio, Texas — where Well Flow's parent company, Group 42, is headquartered — and Manama, Bahrain, which is home to Well Flow's main offices.

In the past year, he and his team upgraded Well Flow's financial software platform to a cloud-based system in order to make it globally accessible to the growing company. He also implemented an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program and inventory management system to keep up with constantly changing supply and demand.

"Having readily available real-time data is critical to operations today," said Heith Higginbotham. "It's very important to have the ability to look at where supply is, where demand is, where operations are growing or declining, in real time with historical data available to back up projections and allocate your resources accordingly. These updates have been a huge help in keeping us in a much better place than most of the people in the oil and gas service business."
